Redox, announced today that Allscripts® has certified the first global integration engine of the Allscripts Developer Program (ADP). All digital health vendors that are part of the Redox Network will automatically be eligible for Allscripts Unity API access and expedited implementation timelines offered by the ADP program. With over 235 digital health vendors using Redox today to integrate with healthcare organizations, this integration will increase the selection of vetted, easily integrated applications Allscripts clients can choose to implement through the ADP platform. Redox is a healthcare data platform that standardizes and simplifies how digital health vendors integrate and exchange data between healthcare delivery organizations and over 40 different electronic health record (EHR) vendors.

Redox provides a single, global connection to Allscripts Unity APIs that digital health vendors can use to integrate and exchange data with approved Allscripts client sites. This model has reduced implementation timelines by up to 70 percent compared to non-Unity API integrations. Furthermore, since Redox has already built global adaptors to the Unity API endpoints, developers of digital health solutions that are using the Redox platform can now deploy to Allscripts organizations with minimal development effort. Moving forward, Redox will offer vendors, who are just starting to offer solutions to the Allscripts client market, a streamlined path to accelerate the certification process by centralizing all API calls through Redox.

Provider organizations that use Allscripts TouchWorks® EHR, Allscripts Professional EHR™ and Allscripts Practice Management™ are also able to rapidly deploy digital health applications that are part of the Redox Network. The Redox Network supports vendors across dozens of verticals in healthcare technology, including telehealth, chronic care management, medical devices, population health and revenue cycle management.

“The Allscripts Unity APIs are an incredible asset to clinics and hospitals that rely on Allscripts for their EHR. Vendors that use Redox already have a consolidated integration experience, and we couldn’t be more excited to extend that experience to include a direct connection to Allscripts Unity API,” said Devin Soelberg, vice president, Business Development & Partnerships, Redox.

The Allscripts Developer Program (ADP) offers both proprietary and FHIR®-enabled APIs to connect third-party applications, devices and other innovative healthcare technologies with Allscripts products. Allscripts has been supporting API integration since 2007 and is enabling over a billion data exchanges each year – the largest documented utilization of APIs in healthcare.
