Digital Health Done Right is a Redox Blog Series that shines a light on a member of our interoperable network. We believe in what our partners are doing and want to share their stories and outcomes with you.

The majority of companies we’ve spotlighted thus far in Digital Health Done Right are focused on improving one vertical or workflow in healthcare—Gauss, for example, tackles the problem of measuring blood loss in surgical settings, and Natera simplifies how parents undergo genetic testing.

There are some companies, however, that have set their sights on offering a suite of products that advance and improve not just one specialty area in healthcare, but several. Sometimes, this breadth can mean that products are underdeveloped or underperform; other times, well, the company just nails everything.

Meet eVisit

Such is the case with eVisit, a health tech company whose goal is to “fundamentally simplify healthcare”. While seemingly simple, this goal is as grandiose as they come—it accounts for revolutionizing workflow inefficiencies that clinicians and providers face every single day in every single specialty. That’s why eVisit created multiple software programs that target Urgent Care, Primary Care, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Pain Management, Surgery, and OBGYN workflows.

eVisit’s mission revolves around equipping medical professionals with advanced tools to do their job better, which means digitizing their current processes to be simpler and more efficient. Take, for instance, their Urgent Care platform: their tools make the usual headache-inducing process of scheduling appointments painless, while also offering patients the ability to eliminate time spent in the waiting room.

Using the eVisit software, clinicians are able to quickly schedule appointments with patients by viewing an up-to-date calendar of available time slots, and patients can even bypass having to go to the doctor at all by scheduling their own virtual visits. Either way, eVisit populates the appointments within existing scheduling workflows, ensuring seamlessly synced calendars and reducing the number of missed appointments.

Simplified surgical workflows

eVisit also helps surgeons enjoy more efficient surgical workflows. The platform’s built-in video consult services help expedite post-op visits by letting patients submit photos of how they’re healing and progressing. Via video, doctors can check in with patients and keep follow up appointments brief. Ultimately, this functionality saves surgeons a ton of time and helps drive department efficiency.

eVisit also helps providers easily collect payment for delivered services. Everything from filling a prescription to placing a knee brace requires payment, and eVisit allows for easy collection with a few simple clicks. More importantly for doctors who have to deal with insurance companies, eVisit also generates medical charts to be submitted to insurance companies for reimbursement.

eVisit has developed a total of seven workflow solutions, so I encourage you to check out their website to learn more about each one.

Integration powered by Redox

The best part about each of eVisit’s products is that they’re complementary to the systems already in use at health systems, meaning they can be easily implemented into existing workflows and adopted without disrupting patient care.

Each product was designed to simplify over-complicated processes, and with that in mind, eVisit integrates their product with EHRs to make using their products seamless for their end users. Integration ensures that all data collected, appointments scheduled, and payments received are inputted directly into the EHR, meaning that everything is documented within the same system the user is used to working with and that no data needs to be documented twice.

eVisit leverages technology to advance healthcare by offering an expansive suite of products that help millions of people. Their commitment to rethinking the way clinicians and providers work is truly impressive, and we’re proud that they’re part of our interoperable network.
