Health and technology in Las Vegas

January 5, 2017
George McLaughlin Director of Solutions Marketing

I’m about to fly to Las Vegas for CES 2017 and I have no idea what to expect.

If I’m being honest with you, I’ve never paid attention to CES. While not a luddite, it’s safe to say I fall somewhere near the tail end of the early majority when it comes to technology adoption.

When I discovered this show has been billed, “too big for Vegas” I couldn’t help but wonder what I was getting myself into. Hell, I thought (still think, actually) HIMSS was borderline too much. This… well this is going to be an experience.

For the next few days I will be soaking it all in and sharing what I can with you. This is my first attempt at “live journalism” but I’m excited for the challenge and look forward to learning on the fly.

I’ll be posting a mix of live videos on our Twitter, blogs, and hopefully a few run-and-gun vlogs to make you feel like you’re at the conference.

I am excited for a glimpse of the “future” and curious to see what disruptive new technologies have the opportunity to make waves sooner rather than later in healthcare. Stay tuned for updates from the show. I’m looking forward to sharing the experience with you all!

If you’ll be at the show and want to connect, shoot me a message on Twitter.
