Request for stories: How has healthcare technology impacted you?

A lot of what we do here at Redox is driven by a simple sentence:

We are all patients.

This simple sentiment guides our everyday actions and is a continual reminder of why we started Redox in the first place.

As patients, we want the medical institutions and caregivers we depend on to have access to the most complete information and best tools available to care for us.

This is the promise of healthcare technology.

This is why we’re working to eliminate barriers to data flow and innovation adoption in healthcare.

This is why we are so excited to partner with groups that are bringing real, tangible improvements to patients.

With this in mind, we want to bring more patient-focused content to our blog, and we want to be more transparent about how healthcare technology is actually impacting patients.

In short, we want to hear from you.

Do you have a story to share? An experience you’ve had recently with healthcare technology? What did you think of it? How did you feel before, during, and after your interaction?

Perhaps it’s a new device that helps you manage your diabetes better. Maybe it’s an iPhone application that monitors your stress levels. It could be a third-party service that helps you keep an eye on the health of your parents.

Whatever it may be, I want to hear about it!

I’m sick of reading advertisements and marketing materials—I want to hear from the users. I want to know about the solutions that are changing the way we provide and receive care and how they impact your life, because that’s what’s actually interesting to me.

I also want to know about the ones that don’t live up to the hype and make life more difficult. The promise of healthcare technology is something entirely different from it’s current state; we’re interested in telling that story as well.

So, if you’d like to participate, please reach out to me directly at: [email protected].

How has healthcare technology impacted you? For good or bad, tell me about it.

Update: I received a few questions about what I plan to do with these stories. Right now the goal is to compile them into a compelling narrative the structure of which is to be determined. I am happy to keep people anonymous if that is what you would prefer. I would never cite you or post something without your consent.
