Posted March 27, 2017
By Julia Zehel
Whenever a transaction event (either a credit or a charge) occurs within an EHR, a new charge is posted to a patient’s account. This data model allows us to relay that information to our partners in real time as the charges are posted.
Functionality: Read and/or Write
Type: Event Based
Key Information Included:
- Patient identifiers
- Patient demographics
- Visit details
- Chargeable amount
- Diagnosis codes (ICD-10)
- Ordering providers
- Order ID
This data model is most commonly used for collecting copays for an upcoming visit through an application portal.
