Overview

BeechWood, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Kathy Beecher and Linda Woodford. We grew out of a need for supportive services beyond the group home model that would ensure successful independent living that was not sufficiently being met in the community. Within one year, we had 10 clients and 4 staff and today we provide services for over 200 clients and continue to grow each year. Our mission from the beginning was simple: to help individuals live independently by providing supportive services, training, advocacy and supervision. Kathy served as BeechWood’s Associate Director for the first 8 years of the organization. Her partner and co-founder, Linda Woodford, served as Executive Director. Kathy continues to serve on the Board of Directors and, although officially retired, can be found many days filling in for someone who is sick or on vacation, assisting with administrative tasks or helping clients.

Home health services encompass comprehensive medical and non-medical care delivered conveniently at home. Provided by proficient professionals, these services aim to meet healthcare and daily activity support needs. They include skilled nursing care, personalized assistance from home health aides, physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, and medical social services. Additionally, they offer access to medical equipment, supplies, medication management, chronic disease management, and palliative care. The focus is on tailored care within the comfort of home, collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance for exceptional delivery.
