The most recent CARF survey stated – “On With Life provides a unique and critical resource to this region of the country – the program puts significant resources into staying current in the field of brain injury and ensuring that staff has access to ongoing evidence-based learning opportunities. This is the seventh consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to the On With Life continuum of services. The three year accreditation includes the following programs: Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Skilled Nursing: Brain Injury Program (Adults) Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Skilled Nursing: Brain Injury Program (Children and Adolescents) Interdisciplinary Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Programs: Brain Injury (Adults) Interdisciplinary Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Programs: Brain Injury (Children and Adolescents) Independent Evaluation Services (Adults) Independent Evaluation Services (Children and Adolescents) Home and Community Services: Brain Injury Program (Adults) This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. “On With Life, Inc. is committed to improving the lives of the persons we serve and we honored to be recognized by CARF for the level of care we provide,” said Julie Fidler Dixon, executive director for On With Life. “As one of only a few inpatient brain injury rehabilitation programs in the world outside of a hospital accredited by CARF, On With Life, Inc. continues to demonstrate its dedication to those living with brain injury and enriching the lives of those whom we are privileged to serve.” Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
