Overview

REACH provides a range of services, primarily to children and adults who experience developmental disabilities or delays. Services may be short-term – providing early intervention services to address a developmental delay, assisting in a crisis, or linking a family with another community resource – or we may be a part of an individual and their family’s life for many years. For every person that we support, REACH believes in our mission: to promote individual choice and well-being through advocacy and services. We adapt our services to the extent possible to meet the hopes and needs of the individual, not the other way around. Each person who receives services has a service coordinator who is the primary point of contact. The service coordinator works within a program that focuses on individuals with similar needs based on age or level of care. Service coordinators may work closely with staff managers whose role is to hire, train and supervise direct support professionals who provide the services. Currently services are available in Haines, Skagway, Yakutat and Petersburg. REACH is open to providing services in small communities in Northern Southeast through our offices in Juneau, Haines and Petersburg.

Specialty clinics and hospitals

Speciality clinics and hospitals provide comprehensive care, including diagnostic testing, treatment, and follow-up care. Specialty clinics often work in collaboration with primary care providers and other specialists to provide coordinated care for patients, and may have access to advanced treatments and technologies that are not available in general practice settings.
