New R^Data model: medications

August 2, 2018
Paige Goodhew Program Manager Product Marketing

Redox now has a new Medications data model! This new data model enables the exchange of new medication orders and modifications or cancellations to existing prescriptions. The most common use case is sending or receiving real-time information as new medications or changes are documented within a third-party product, such as a telehealth platform, or the EHR.  Current support of this data model requires that the EHR has a corresponding API call and/or supports the OMP or RDE HL7v2 message type. We will be extending support in the near future to include patient-reported medication statements, medication dispenses, documented administrations, and medication mixtures. For more information, check out our API Docs for more information about the Medications data model.  For more detail about Redox supports medication data exchange, check out common use cases and available resources here.
